This workshop will survey some basic data management practices that you can start using today. Whether you’re managing the data output of a research team, your own project or class data, or just trying to keep your documents and other files organized, the practical tips introduced here can help. Topics include naming files and folders (directories), creating logical folder (directory) structures, maintaining documentation, backup practices, file formats for long-term storage, and an overview of services available at KU.
