Navigating academic publishing can be a daunting task for early career researchers. Jargon, legal contracts, predatory publishing practices, and other issues can be confusing and even intimidating. This workshop will present an approachable, non-disciplinary overview of academic publishing, publication contract norms, author rights, and ways that authors can exert their rights to build visibility and impact in their fields as early career scholars.
